Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I got on the water about 2 and fished until 4, making a couple of mile run up the Glaize and fished a cove that is traditional spawing cove with lots of pea gravel and a couple of secondary points. I started on the main lake point which comes way out into the water checking for post spawn fish that might be out there relating to current, fished a jig, crank bait and spinner bait with no bites then I worked my way into the cove targeting 10-15′ brush with no bites, then caught a small keeper on a rock transition, the bite came on the bigger rocks that transitioned from pea gravel. Fished another 45 minutes with no bites throwing everything i had on my deck, then caught a 4.3 pounder on the shaky head on a mixed pea gravel/chunck rock bank leading out of a spawning pocket. |
