Fishing Notes |
---|
Much like yesterday, I just had a fun afternoon fishing. I am not practicing for a tournament so I am just fun fishing. I fished some main lake docks and that bite is almost automatic, however not real big fish, but keeper Kentuckies and there will be some big blacks but not for me today. I threw the plopper on the corners and fronts of docks with a lot of blow ups. FLW Pro, Jim Little, who I fished the FLW Costa event with last year, taught me that if a bass misses one on top water to throw a stick bait back at it, wow that really worked today. I had a few short large mouth and 2 keeper KY’s doing that today, thanks Jim!! I really wanted to check out the crank bait bite today, but the wind was not great, but I did catch my best fish of the day on the crank bait just casting it on main lake flats. My confidence bite right now is fishing shade of shallow docks with the magnum trick worm or Chompers Wild Hog creature bait. I had two keepers and some shorts on that pattern today. I did have some blow ups on the plopper today on main lake big rock banks in shade, that bite will get good soon. |
