Fishing Notes

I got on the water today about 1:30 after doing fishing seminar this morning and fished until about 4. As I am fishing the FLW tournament this weekend, I need to figure out a pattern and lake location that I want to fish. There are so many options. This past weekend there were so many big ones caught on the spinner bait can crank baits. So that is a good pattern for sure. But today I went the backs of some pockets and creeks, super shallow water 2′-6′ of water and flipped docks with the D-Bomb, figuring the big ones are getting in position to spawn, I caught a couple of shorts doing that. Then I started fishing secondary points leading to the spawning pockets and up the middle of spawning pockets catching a keeper and a handful of shorts on the Carolina Rig. I did have a couple of blow ups on the Buzz Bait today but no hook ups.
