Fishing Notes |
---|
Today I started fishing about 1 and fished until 4:30. My intent was to cover main lake banks with medium to big rocks and main lake points/bluff ends. While I started doing that without any takers, I got distracted by some off the bank structure I saw on my graph. I threw the jig in there and caught a small keeper, then I fished another off the bank brush pile and caught a short fish, these came in 13′-15′ of water close to the main lake. I then went to the back of some creeks and fished the last creek channel bank with the Crock-o-Gator 1/2 oz jig with a COG Ring Craw Trailer and caught two shorts. Those fish came in about 6′-10′ of water. I then covered water with the Rock Crawler and caught another small keeper, that one came about 20 yards inside of a bluff end on a rocky bank. If I were fishing a tournament tomorrow, I would probably cover water with the Rock Crawler and fish 12′-15′ off shore structure either brush [piles or busted up rocky patches with the jig all of the above on and around main lake points with big to medium rock and wind hitting it or shade. I don’t throw the A-rig much but that could be a big player too over brush and on windy points and windy docks. |
