Fishing Notes

Fished about 3 hours on Friday (6 fish, 1 keeper), about 7 hours Saturday (12, 5 keepers) and about an hour Sunday morning (2 fish, no keepers).

Friday was fairly tough… blue sky, no clouds, very little wind. Fished the back of some bigger creeks around the 22 MM.

Saturday was better with the wind and a little clouds later in the day. Had 3 keepers in the first hour Saturday morning in the back of a smaller cove with some wind and a lot of bait. Caught two out of a brush pile along a dock and another in the back of a deeper pocket.

Caught one more small keeper in the wind near the main lake. 5th keeper went 4-5 in the back of a skinny cove with a bunch of wind. 5 keepers Saturday went a little over 13.

We chased the wind quite a bit… tried some different banks with the bigger rock, rock transitions, a little pea gravel. Most of our fish came in the backs of creeks around pockets. Just couldn’t put any pattern together..

Most of the fish were on the jerk bait, threw a creature bait a little, jig a little, spinnerbait quite a bit. Started flipping some docks with shade late Saturday.
